Turkish Cinema

Hello dear steemians. As you might know, one of the topics that I write about is cinema. I started writing about Turkish cinema and Nuri Bilge Ceylan 2 weeks ago. You might check my previous posts about " The Distant " and " 3 Monkeys" This is the third movie in my film review series. I will be writing all about his works regularly. I would like to state once again that I am not a professional film critic, all I want to do here is to present what I think about the movies that I like and show people some good examples of Turkish cinema. Today, I am going to write about another amazing film of Nuri Bilge Ceylan which is called " The Climates"

The Climates

The film is about the couple who have big difficulties in understanding eachother. Isa who is a university professor is married with his younger wife, Bahar. In this film, Nuri bilge ceylan plays the role of Isa while his wife in real life , Bahar ceylan acts as herself. They spend their summer together in Kaş, Antalya which is one of the best touristic destinations in Turkey. They are constantly having problems. After having some serious arguments, Isa finally decides to break up with Bahar and go back to Istanbul. People change depending on the climates just like their feelings, their endless desires and wishes change depending on the times of the year. Isa who is trying to be alone and has some affairs with other women around himself finally tries to go back to Bahar in winter time. This is the main point of the film. Isa is a problematic character whose feelings change in different seasons of the year which causes his life and Bahar's life to go down every time.

Amazing Landscapes

As I mentioned before, Nuri Bilge is an amazing photographer. He uses his photography skills in his all movies. As the film takes places in different cities of Turkey like Istanbul, Antalya and Ağrı, it is possible to see the incredible landscapes of these cities in different seasons. The city of Ağrı looks so amazing with his photography skills. It is really worth seeing the city in snow.
