Standard
Standard won deserved at home against Racing Genk based on their 2nd half. In the first half they were outplayed and for the second week in a row they got quite lucky with a goal which helped them get into the match. I'm not fully sold yet on this new Standard team right now, but they will always be a difficult opponent to face because of their physical play style. Mpoku again showed his huge importantce as the match winner.Genk
Genk Played good and were the better team during the 1st half but were horrible after the break. I am not worried about this Genk as they will start winning sooner or later as the quality is there.
Moeskroen
After an early goal from the vistors Moeskroen got posession but were unable to do anything with it. Around minute 30' the 0-2 came with a disctance shot from Lukebakio after which the match exploded as the Moeskroen defense looked vulnerable and betting on them or on unders in their matches right now is not an option for me.Charleroi
Deserved win from Charleroi mainly due a poor opponent. They now share the lead after winning both matches but have yet to be tested. Lukebakio who was a big talent from anderlecht but did not break trough because of discipline reasons might become the revelation for this Charneroi team.
Kortrijk
Kortrijk played a good match against a poor Lokeren side and should have been up by more goals at half time. Finishing chances does not seem to be their best quality. Overall this was an open match with a dominating home team. News came that Kagelmacher will be enforcing their defense soon. If he is anywhere near his form of when he left Beerschot 6 years ago he will be a strong asset to this team.Lokeren
The trend from last weekend continues as Lokeren played another poor match which puts them into a dangerous position to be in. It was goalkeeper Verhulst who kept them from a punishing scoreline. Next weekends matchup against Moeskroen will put them in a must win situatiuon.
Waasland
Waasland for the second week in a row showed a lot of good things and deserved more. They play forward and aim to take a strong start which makes them an overish team and excellent for betting as a lot is bound to happen in their matches. Unfortunately this is so obvious that the betting market has fully caught up allready giving them an Over 3 line next match. The match did not slow down after the 2-2. Their most expensive club transfer ever Morioka is turning out to be a revelation and will be important for this team.Mechelen
Mechelen seems to be a 'shapeshift' team adopting to their opponent. They played open against an open Waasland side this week and they Played physical against a phisical Standard last week. I am not yet sold on the Mechelen team and it will be a very hard task for coach Ferreira to reach close to Play-off 1.
Zute-Waregem
Great match from Zulte-Waregem who played forward and pushed away the visitors. They are also yet to be tested against a better team and will for sure lose points once the Europa League group stage starts. I am looking forward to see what they can do friday against Club Brugge. Coopman will not be allowed to play as he's rented from ClubStvv
The visitors did not show much offense in this match as they were pushed away by Zulte-Waregem. Last 20 minutes they had 3 injured players (Ceballos, Boli, Gueye) only the first won't be able to make next match against Standard.
AA Gent
AA Gent contunues their poor form after being eliminated from the Europa League and losing in the first week against Stvv. Similar pattern was seem with AA Gent going forward having 64% posession without really finding any solutions against a defensive Antwerp. AA Gent will bounce back as they had quite some players out (Kalinic / Neto / Foket / Saief / Gershon) and picked up extra injuries on Rinne / Simon and Matton. It should be a matter of time before they start winning again. For now it's a bit of a gamble to take them and caution is advised.Antwerp
Antwerp took a solid start of the season with a draw against Anderlecht and a win against AA Gent mainly due to their defensive approach which is not easy to break. They might get a bit overvalued based on results as in both matches at times they were dominated which eventually will result in getting goals against. This win for them was pretty much a hold-up.
Anderlecht
Coach weiler seems to opt for a more offensive line-up at home with Dendoncker-Kums-Hanni in the mindfield and Oneywkuru on the left wing compared to Dendoncker-Kums-Trebel in the midfield with Hanni on the left wing when playing away. After taking the lead he also switched to this more defensive line-up. Main problem for Anderlecht is still striker Theo who is not finding the goal. As long as this hasn't been fixed, betting overs pre-game is not reall an option as they are strong in defense.Oostende
Oostende are missing Di Mata who was their star striker last season and are now 3 matches without scoring a goal. They should have enough offensive quality with Zivkovic, El Ghanassy, Musona which eventually will start resulting in goals. Once this team gets into a good flow they will be worth betting, but for now I'm not willing to take the gamble.
Club Brugge
Not the dominant Club Brugge I hoped for, but they did continue their streak of winning in the first home match of the season. Defense still is something of a problem so expect them to concede goals on regular basis. Dennis again was bets player and will be a good replacement for Izquirdo if he can keep this up.Eupen
Eupen looked much better compared to the first home match against Zulte-Waregem where they lost 0-5. They scored on their first chance but failed to keep Club Brugge from scoring as they got punished on the counter late in the match after getting a red card. Blondelle won't be playing next match. Not quite sure where I stand on Eupen right now going into the 3th week.
