Greetings beautiful steemit community, I'm Paola, I'm 33 years old and mom of two beautiful girls which are my life and reason for being. I am a Graphic Designer, a profession that I chose since I was a teenager. Since I was a little girl I really liked drawing, painting, creating things and for the age I did it very well (according to my teachers)
As I got older my inclination went more towards the plastic arts, painting and drawing, but in my family it was not well seen, reason that forced me to leave the secondary school to decide to study Computer Science, but I did not like anything, I felt empty, so I abandoned it. I started to research universities and so I found out about the Graphic Design career and when I came of age I looked for my first job with which I could pay for my university and study what I wanted.
Today I'm a Graphic Designer, I work in an advertising agency and I feel very comfortable with what I do, I keep drawing in my free time since I love doing it, so sometimes I consider myself an "artist", I even started to give classes even if you have only one student but something starts.
A couple of weeks ago, I was extremely bored, there were electrical problems in the city, so on that particular day the lights went out, I did not have internet or anything to entertain me so I decided to draw. My girls had recently seen the Captain America movie and they say "Mommy, we love the captain is too cute", and I said well let's see what comes out of this and I started drawing.
I searched the cell phone for an image that I liked about the "Capitan" and I started to make the lines first, in fact I did not make a sketch, but I started directing the drawing. It had already been half an hour and nothing that turned the light, so I decided not to leave it in lines only, that way I began to make the shadows and depths.
I continued making shadows, and concentrating on his face to make it look as real as possible, after two hours the light returned but I could not leave it incomplete, so I fine-tuned the last details of the suit and shield, until it was as similar as possible, and in this way I was satisfied with the result. From now on I am taking more advantage of the free moments to dedicate to drawing, it is something that I love and passionate and I hope to continue growing and learning from this.
