El Cerro Copey es un Parque Nacional ubicado al oriente de la Isla Margarita; posee mas de 7000 hectareas y en el mismo se encuentra el Pueblo de la Sierra. Es la montaña mas alta de Estado Nueva Esparta; la cual ofrece una amplia vista y de una belleza incomparable! El mismo esta cuidado por los exigentes y cuidadosos funcionarios de imparques. Su clima es frio donde puedes ver y sentir la neblina. En el podemos conseguir monos, ardillas, conejos y venados y algunas aves como el popular Guayamate entre otros.
En sus sedimentos se han instalado zonas urbanas en las que se encuentran La Asuncion, Capital del Estado Nueva Esparta y Porlamar que es la Zona Comercial de mayor importancia. Es un punto estrategico para conectar las antenas de telecomunicaciones y con respectiva autorizacion subimos a ver la antena que conecto mi papa.
