"Let It Be" canción de la gran banda británica de rock The Beatles y una de las más representativas del álbum que lleva el mismo nombre junto a las canciones "Get Back" y "The Long and Winding Road".
Fue compuesta por Paul McCartney y lanzada como sencillo en el año 1970. Alcanzó el número 1 en los Estados Unidos y el número 2 en el Reino Unido.
"Let It Be" ocupa el puesto 179 de "Las 1000 mejores canciones de siempre" de la conocida revista Q Music, asà como el lugar 20 de las "500 mejores canciones de todos los tiempos" de la revista Rolling Stone.
Hay mucha historia detrás de Let It Be... Este es el último álbum de estudio lanzado por la banda de rock británica. Fue editado en el Reino Unido, y salió al mercado en mayo de 1970.
La banda deja de tocar en vivo ante la imposibilidad de presentar su música en el escenario y se propusieron grabar un álbum para tocar un último concierto. Por tal razón las sesiones de grabación del disco (en aquel entonces llamadas Get Back, en el interés de regresar a las raÃces rockeras del grupo) comenzaron a ser filmadas en 1969, por el cineasta Michael Lindsay-Hogg. Fueron dÃas de ensayos tensos, de constantes discusiones entre los miembros que dejaban ver la existencia de una convivencia cada vez más hostil entre ellos.
