Unlock The Secret Weapon That We All Should Use

Have you ever felt that gut feeling just telling you something isn't right? Maybe you get that uneasy feeling to go home but you don't know why or the feeling to call someone who just popped into your mind. The feeling of butterflies in your stomach, the feeling when your heart tells you something different than your mind...that is your intuition. Your intuition is a very powerful weapon that each of us could benefit from using or at least being aware of. It doesn't matter if you believe that intuition is a powerful force coming from the supernatural realm or if you think it is a bunch of bologna and nothing more than a feeling. Either way you look at it, it is there sitting in your subconscious mind.

Today I will show you a simple but fun exercise to strengthen or develop your intuition, even if you don't believe you have one.

Knowledge is always power so first we need to know a little bit about our subconscious mind and what our intuition can do for us. You conscious mind is what we use basically all day every day. This is the part of our mind that focuses on what is currently going on around us. This is our daily actions, the part of the mind that tells us to open a Steemit post or to get up and turn the t.v. on. Our subconscious mind is like the warehouse. It holds all of the really important parts but it often gets forgotten about. The subconscious mind is when we do something automatically. Have you ever driven down the road and began to get deep into your thoughts, the next thing you know you have driven a pretty good distance but didn't even realize it? That is your subconscious mind. The moment when you just know something will happen or is happening, that is your subconscious mind.

Our intuition is what drives all of this. Intuition is in our subconscious mind, sitting right next to our imagination and creativity. Intuition is often based off of our existing knowledge and past experiences which can cause our subconscious mind to give us a nudge sometimes. We get that Ah Ha moment because of this too.

Developing or strengthening our intuition can bring many benefits to our lives. We can achieve more in life by listening to it. We can use it to help make important decisions, we can use for manifesting what we want. Again, we all have it even if it is just nothing more than a feeling. We have all felt it at one point in time. Observing energy is a good way to work on your intuition and to realize it is there, observing your own energy and the energy of others. I think I can say with confidence that we have all been around someone who is just full of negativity. The negative energy just radiates off of them and that can sometimes cause us to feel the effects. Some of us more spiritual people call that an energy vampire. They will literally suck the life out of you. An energy vampire can drag you down, make you feel tired and unmotivated. By realizing this, you have tapped into your intuition.

Your intuition connects your mind, body and soul. It gives you something more than just your mind to go off of. Something we should all listen to, something that I wish I listened to more often. Your intuition (subconscious mind) sends signals to your nerves. When our mind just knows something, this can cause many feelings that come from our intuition such as -

  • worrying
  • anxiety
  • difficulty focusing
  • nausea
  • can't eat or sleep
  • uneasy feeling

Our intuition doesn't always send us bad signals. It is also there to bring excitement and the just know feeling for good situations. Like a career change or moving to a new area. Often times something just feels right, this is your intuition. Listen to it! Follow that voice that is in your heart, listen to your gut. It is typically always right, it is then our choice to listen or not listen to it. It can help us to live a happier healthier life by listening to our intuition. Those people who are more spiritual really benefit from having a strong intuition too.

By focusing on our subconscious mind and paying attention to it, we can strengthen our intuition. Regularly doing these excersices along with practicing simple meditation (which could be just shutting down your mind for quiet time) can really change our lives for the better. This secret weapon is buried deep inside of our mind, it is simple but can be a very powerful and useful tool when we listen to it.

Time to have a little fun

Since this is the very first one, we will start with something easy and I will give you easy steps that will help you develop your intuition. For this exercise you are going to quiet your mind for just a few seconds. Close your eyes if it helps you. Once you are ready, take a look at the picture below.

The goal here is for you to tell me which dog and which two colors I chose. Use your intuition, slowly look at each dog and each color. Ask yourself with each one if that is the one that I picked. You will eventually start to feel that gut feeling that tells you yes or no. Some people receive signs in their own way. For me it is ringing in one ear, for others it is the feeling of butterflies. It takes time to strengthen your intuition but with these fun exercise it can easily be done.

Remember, you are not choosing the dog and colors that you like best, you are feeling for which one I chose.
