Splinterlands: Never Underestimate NAGA WINDMASTER

hk.png

Greetings, Steemians...

🌟It is Weekly Challenge Time🌟

This is my submission in SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.

This week's theme is NAGA WINDMASTER

LORE

Since they are an amphibious people, Naga of the Water Splinter generally prefer to live under the waves, where life is decidedly easier to control. Still, some of the most rebellious of the gilled have decided to make their homes in the open air. These Wind Naga have taken a special interest in the air itself, which they find easier to manipulate with their magic than the waters below. Some of the Wind Naga have developed strong magical abilities that harness the powers of the wind and air. They are one of the only forces in the Splinterlands that can halt a Dragon in flight. They are known as Naga Windmasters.
NAGA WINDMASTER are primarily known for their primary Headwinds ability, causing all enemy ranged attack monster -1 attack. But, at level 5 it also has another cool ability called Shatter, destroying the shield of enemy it attack. Awesome set of abilities, considering it costs only 4 mana.

My Entry

This was a 33 mana battle with two rules: Healed Out and Little League. I choose to play with water splinter. Too bad, I couldn't fully utilize the allowable mana due to the Little League rule.

Team Selection and Placement

I used ALRIC STORMBRINGER summoner because water splinter have awesome 4 or less mana cards with some cool abilities.

I placed SPINEBACK TURTLE upfront because it has decent health and shield along with Thorns ability. Perfect low cost card to place in front.

Crustacean King_lv6.png
Then, CRUSTACEAN KING was placed despite of battle rule that allows no healing. The reason for using it was Protect ability, meaning all friendly monsters have +2 armor. This can be a huge advantage in low cost mana battles..

On third position, I placed NAGA WINDMASTER, for the obvious reasons i.e. reduce the enemy ranged attack and destroy the shields.

FEASTING SEAWEED was placed on forth position because of the opportunity ability. I also used a monster with Inspire ability to make my Opportunity monster even more effective.

Pirate Captain_lv6.png
On second last, came the PIRATE CAPTAIN. I used it because of the Inspire ability, giving all my melee attack monsters +1 attack.

And on the very last, I used MEDUSA, since I had decent health to survive sneak attack. Plus it also has magic attack of 2(thanks to the ALRIC STORMBRINGER) along with Stun ability.

Remarks

This was a close battle. The enemy cards were stronger than mine. But in the end I won, because my FEASTING SEAWEED did some great Opportunity attacks.
