STEEM Cup Series Contest

Race Information

Axalta Presents the Pocono 400
Sunday, June 11, 2017 – 3:00pm ET
Pocono Raceway – Long Pond, Pennsylvania

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to Pennsylvania this week for the Pocono 400. The Pocono Raceway is a 2.5-mile “tri-oval” track, known as “The Tricky Triangle.” This year’s race is scheduled for 160 laps, split into two 50-lap stages and one final 60-lap stage to determine the race winner. Last year’s race was red-flagged due to fog with only 22 laps to go, which left Chris Buescher as the race winner.

Current forecasted temperatures for the race in Long Pond on Sunday will be in the mid- to upper-80s with no expected precipitation.

The drivers have completed qualifying for their start positions in Sunday’s race. You can find their qualifying times/positions at the following link: NASCAR Race Center.
