Battle Rule Sets
The battle limited players to 19 mana and rule sets were melee attack monsters only and all melee monsters have sneak ability. In addition the Fire splinter was not allowed in the match. Hence the next best splinters for me would be water or earth. I went with earth and used Brownie in the process.
Battle Formations
I went with Flesh Golem as my tank healer and backed it up with Minotaur Warrior. I like the ability opportunity and put in Vulture. With 2 manas left to spare I put in Furious Chicken, Brownie, and end with Ooze. So the strategies with this formation was to speed up my formation with Brownie while slowing down my opponent with Ooze. Then be aggressive with Golem, Warrior, and Vulture to do most of the attacking.

Not a surprise when battle began I saw my opponent's using a staple formation. The Sea Monster leading with Manticore and followed up by Battle Orca. Now my opponent used Camila Sungazer which would limit my monster's melee attack by 1. However the summoner was only level 2 so it limited all the monsters as Sea Monster is at level 3, Manticore at level 2, and Battle Orca level 1.
My opponent's lower level monsters was likely the reason I took the win. Never the less I used up all my formation positions while my opponent at the very least left out a Furious Chicken.
