@steem-bounty A Guide On How To Use It's Service !

What is @steem-bounty ?

@steem-bounty is a reward placed on a topic which can be won by those who participate in the topic in which the bounty was placed. The bounty can be placed with SBD or Steem.

Where does the SBD or Steem come from that is being offered in the bounty ?

Who ever places the bounty on the topic is the sponsor of the bounty. Anyone can place a bounty on any topic they want. You do not have to be the author of a topic to place a bounty on it.

How is the bounty awarded to the winners

80 % of the bounty is awarded by the sponsor of the bounty. The other 20 % will be awarded by the community / readers of the topic. For example I put a .10 SBD bounty on this topic as an example on how to use it. I will upvote one comment only. Which means someone who comments below will be winning 80 % of the bounty or 0.08 SBD. The other 0.02 SBD will be divided between everyone who receives an upvote from a community member in this topic. If the bounty provider doesn't upvote anyone then the community will award 100 % of the bounty.

But How Do We Place The Bounty ?

Creating a bounty is very easy. Simply go to your wallet scroll down to your Steem or SBD section and click transfer. A new window will pop up. In this window you will place @steem-bounty where it says TO : You will then place the amount of Steem or SBD you want to use as a bounty to reward your readers in the AMOUNT section. Last but not least you will need to place the link to the post in which you are placing the bounty on in the MEMO section. A screenshot can be seen below.

Once you done the above click submit and the amount of SBD / Steem you entered for the bounty will be subtracted from your wallet balance. Your bounty is now set and nothing else is required of you. @steem-bounty will then award the bounty to the readers of the topic once the post you set the bounty on has reached its 7 day payout.

Bounty Topic Will Receive The Below Message Once The Bounty Is Set

What is a bounty exactly?

A bounty is money sent to a post to be distributed to the users commenting on it. It provides a way to reward users directly and works in addition to the steem/sbd they receive from the blockchain. It works independently of SteemPower.

You create a bounty by sending any amount of sbd/steem to @steem-bounty together with a post-url in the memo.

How can I earn a bounty Users are then competing for the bounty by writing their answers to the post in comments that will achieve upvotes from the community and especially the bounty creator. The money of the bounty gets distributed to all top level comments of the post at the same time when the post is paid out (7 Days after it was written). How much everyone gets depends on the votes the comments received. The sender of the bounties votes are weighted higher so that she decideds where 80% of the bounty money goes and all other votes determine the rest.
@steem-bounty does all of this for you automatically. You can use this service to automatically pay out a challenge, ask a hard question or simply to reward the people that interact with you.

When The Bounty Post Reaches The Seven Day Payout @steem-Bounty Will Leave A Congratulations message naming everyone in the topic that has won a share of the bounty and will also list how much each winner has won.

If The Bounty Topic Didn't Receive The Confirmation Message

Double check to make sure you set the bounty correctly.
