End of last year ive got a chance to travel to Sydney with my family for my 2nd time after my last visit in the year 2001 or something i could not really remember.
I started off sketching from a quick 6 mins impressionist sketch at the jetty while waiting for our ferry to go to Cockatoo Island where ill be meeting the fellow Sydney Urbansketchers whom i met during our USK Symposium in Manchester in 2016. They had arranged a sketchcrawl to accomodate me being there and introduce me to interesting places in Sydney how sweet of them. βΊοΈ
Rooi Ping Lim with a bunch of them turn up and the weather was perfect when we was there. Cockatoo Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located at the junction of the Parramatta and Lane Cove rivers, in Sydney Harbour where the have all these wonderful historical warehouse and cranes. find out more about it here! >> http://www.cockatooisland.gov.au/
So this was what i did in about an hour...
and felt intimidated by their awesome drawings...-.-
It was definitely a memorable session. π
After the sketchcrawl we continued sightseeing in the city center and stop for a quick sketching a couple of time in Darling Harbour with my siblings.
Top one is my brother Haryth's drawing and the bottom one is mine.
And last but not least, we stop by at the famous Opera House to get a closer look (and sketch!).
As the harbour bridge was in view as well i decided to sketch them too...
extended the drawing on another paper to make a panoramic sketch of the whole composition! πππ
(Well it was too long so i asked my sister to take the photo while i was holding the drawings with my both hands π)
Last time i was there i have not started sketching but i do have a photo here...
Tadaaa~...ππππ this chubby nerdy boy with a safety strings for his spectacles. Lol.
And this was how puberty hits me like a truck π lol π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£ okbye!
Oh wait!
Ive got one more!
The passport sketching. The controversial one π
Im sure ill be back here someday. Until next time Sydney! βΊοΈ π¦πΊ #klsketchnation #urbansketching #travelsketch
