Yesterday was the launch of 2 new initiatives. The first initiative is a sub community under steem-cartoon known as urban sketchers led by @kymio whereby the objective is to introduce newcomer to steemit and the idea of sketching in the city.

The second initiative is a new community of musicians led by @calebleejl.
The introduction of urban sketchers is to give a more vibrant and versatile edge to #steem-cartoon. Currently as it stands there is a pocketful of urban sketchers in Kuala Lumpur comprising of people from all walks of life. They include traders, engineers, doctors, architects, teachers and many others.
While we understand that art has different facade, giving it this window and through the steemit platform will perhaps attract more people into blogging and sharing their work with the world.
Those who were not present yesterday, this is a video presentation of the event that took place yesterday that attracted a good healthy crowd that was excited about the entire concept of blogging and being paid for it. We didn't need to do much convincing.

Announcing a Steem-cartoon workshop
We now announce that #steem-cartoon will be organising a 3 day workshop that will be conducted by none other than @sireh, @rambai and @aurah. This workshop will be a fun and engaging workshop for art enthusiast to learn the basics of drawing, animation and sketching. The details of the workshop will be announced in a later post detailing more information.
Till then, continue to support us in #steem-cartoon and we will do our best to paint everyone's life with more colours and fill it with more jokes.
