So you've written a great article or posted something great on Steemit. You've tweeted it out on Twitter. You've put it up on Facebook. You've sent it to your friends. It's 'out there.'
People open your article. They read it. They LOVE it. They close it.
They go back to Twitter. They 'retweet' it. You and they get NOTHING
They go back to Facebook. They 'like' it. You and they get NOTHING
What they probably haven't realised is, if they took 2 minutes to create a Steemit account. They can also UPVOTE it. If other people love the things they upvote, they get paid for being great curators (judges of quality content). You get paid (for providing quality content).
Okay YOU know this.
But does your audience? Not necessarily. Why?
Nobody has told THEM. They only came to Steemit to read your content, not to understand Steemit!
This is why it's important to add a STRAPLINE to the end of your Steemit posts. Something like this:
If you enjoyed what you read here, don't just 'retweet' it, don't just 'like it' elsewhere. Make sure you sign up and UPVOTE it, here on Steemit and share in the rewards!
Or you can create your own, in your own style.
Let's get the word out!
(NB: It's probably best NOT to include a strapline on posts targeted at the Steemit community. I can see how that might get tedious!)
