Could our players find a solution for the man's kidney issues, or did they guess and wind up getting him angry? Let's see how it worked out.
DAY 13 ROUND 2 RESULTS
OPTION 1 – Try to blow up the man with dynamite. (For players with dynamite and a firestarter.)
No one chose this option, so the end result will remain a mystery.
OPTION 2 – Suggest this plant as a potential remedy.
This plant was a popular choice, and with good reason. It is Stinging Nettle, and is one incredible plant. I did a post on it eleven months ago called My Favorite Weed.
As it relates to our gameplay, here is what one source had to say:
As a natural detoxifier, blood purifier, and diuretic, nettles work to remove impurities such as bacteria, calcium crystal deposits, grit and kidney stones from your kidneys, bladder, and urinary tract. This helps to prevent formation of kidney stones and the discomfort of urinary tract infections (UTI). The removal of excess water in the extremities (hands, feet, and face) is a particular benefit to kidney patients who may be unable to accomplish this task automatically.

Much more information is available online, but in this case, this was a good option for our scenario yesterday. The man thanked the players for their help and gave them five 5 gram pieces of Silver.
The players who chose Option 2 successfully helped the man and parted in peace, after he gave them 25 grams of Silver.
OPTION 3 – Suggest this plant as a potential remedy.
This plant is Common Yellow Wood Sorrel. It is a tasty wild edible for adults, but it comes with a potential side effect. According to one source:
It contains high levels of vitamin C, potassium oxalate, and oxalic acid, the last two of which can be potentially hazardous to people with kidney disease, arthritis, or gout.

No one chose this option so the end result will remain a mystery.
OPTION 4 – Suggest this plant as a potential remedy.
This plant is Plantain (Plantago major) and I featured it in my The Edible Outdoors series last year. As it relates to our gameplay, here is what one source states:
Traditionally, plantain was used as a powerful blood cleaner. It was prescribed to protect the liver from the damaging effects of foreign toxins as well as to reduce swelling from kidney disease. Plantain has also been used to treat kidney stones by dissolving calcium and magnesium.

Just like the players who chose Option 2: Stinging Nettle, this plant was also a good option for our scenario yesterday. The man thanked the players for their help and gave them five 5 gram pieces of Silver.

DAY 14 ROUND 1 SCENARIO
It's approaching food time once again. Though all the plants in the last round were edible, the players thought it best to leave immediately when the man dismissed them. To be able to part in peace with a gift and still be alive was enough of a blessing. They didn't want to press their luck.
Perhaps they will see more of those plants in the near future, but so far they have not seen any.
Up ahead is another clearing, and some strange noises are coming from that direction. Cautiously, the players proceed.
Across the clearing is a group of turkeys. One of these could be dinner! Carefully, the players sneak up a little closer.
They are starting to head back into the woods. From where the players are they can still see seven of them.
OPTIONS

OPTION 4 – Try to shoot turkey 4. Please specify which gun you will be using. As much ammo as is needed will be used in this attempt.
OPTION 5 – Try to shoot turkey 5. Please specify which gun you will be using. As much ammo as is needed will be used in this attempt.
OPTION 6 – Try to shoot turkey 6. Please specify which gun you will be using. As much ammo as is needed will be used in this attempt.
OPTION 7 – Try to shoot turkey 7. Please specify which gun you will be using. As much ammo as is needed will be used in this attempt.
OPTION 8 – Move on without attempting to kill a turkey.
OPTION 9 – Use a rock to attempt to kill a turkey.
OPTION 10 - Light the dynamite and throw it at the turkeys (for players with dynamite and a firestarter.)
PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY
All players who have signed up and want to play must reply to this post with 24 hours in order to avoid elimination and continue gameplay. All players must reply to my option comment below, not to this post. I will reply to my own posts with the options each in their own comments, and the players must reply to whichever comment has the option that they wish to choose.
IMPORTANT: The Backup Food Supplies are in one ration portions, which can feed one player and keep them alive for two days. Also, if for some reason you decide to change your choice prior to the 24 hour response time cutofff, please contact @novaatebatman to make sure you are registered under the correct option.
Also, please remember to include your inventory in your reply. Example:
I have gas, a magnesium firestarter, a half stick of dynamite, a PLANT FIELD GUIDE, 25 grams of Silver and a pistol with 8 rounds of ammunition. I must eat by the end of Day 14. I choose Option 3 this round.
As always, please remember that all outcomes are predetermined. In an elimination survival game, most of your are going to die eventually. Nothing personal.
PRIZE POOL
The current prize pool is 950 SBD. The total prize pool amount will grow each round until the game is over.
