We are living in exciting times here in our virtual world of steemit. Last week we saw the value of steem holding steady in the $0.70 range after the value had climbed. Is it really only a month since we were all so excited at the value climbing into the $0.20 range?
Well the value of steem jumped up again this week and smashed the $1.00 mark to sit at around $1.20 ish today. Added to that the value of SBD is still holding high at about double it's designed value and things on the financial side are looking good.
On the social side of the platform we are still getting loads of new accounts made and great numbers of posts and authors each day. Payouts are looking great as the value of an upvote continues to rise with the surge in steem value.
Added to this the steemit community came together to win two rounds of a twitter poll to get a new crypto onto a top Chinese exchange and we are now in the final. All of this is getting the steemit brand noticed and driving our community forward to be a truley global social media.
So now as the week begins it's time to sit and wonder where we will stand next week, can the value of steem hold or climb again. Could we see a price of $1.50 or above next Monday. Will we contine to see record numbers of accounts created as people from all over the world discover that steemit is a social media for the many, not the few and where everyone can earn and profit from being part of it.
Only the next 7 days will tell us but like I said at the start, we are living in exciting times.
