Exciting Times for Steem & Steemit / April Recap

Hello fellow Steemians!

April has just passed, so I think its time to give you a recap of the past events, and give you some insights into future events and exciting projects on Steem and Steemit!

Make yourself a large cup of fresh coffee, or tea if you prefer.

Here are several reasons why you should STEEM

1.Finally, we can talk with Steemit.

If you are around for some time, you know that in the past the communication and interaction with the Steemit team were kinda nowhere to be found.

With the 100 Days Of Steem, @steemitblog is giving the Steemit users a chance to shine and show their work and passion to the community. Never before we had this close of a relationship and interaction with the team of the biggest platform on our Steem blockchain.

Check the latest post and participate in the daily challenges, and get rewarded for your unique content!

2. Updates on the Steemit UI & UE

You might have noticed, the team is already working on improved user experience. When writing a post on Steemit.com you can now make styling and visualization like a PRO.

Highlight the text you want to edit, and you see options to either make it bold, italic, title and so much more. You can still use the original markup, or write in HTML if you know how to do it.

Also, they asked our opinion on what to change quickly, and I had a response from them saying they are working on several new updates!

TIP: At the moment, you are probably bored af. Why not learn something new? Take your posts to the next level and teach yourself HTML! Here is Free course:

3. Delegations To Promising Projects & Curation Accounts

Steemit has delegated Steem Power to several projects, users and has now 8 curation accounts to reward content produced on Steemit.

This is never seen before and is a huge gesture of the Steemit team. Now, dozens of community members more can get rewarded for their unique content!

The members of the community that are chosen by Steemit for the month of May are:

Congrats to all of them! Check their application and join the communities you like!

4. Support for the little ones

Steemit is showing support for the new users. Several projects and members are invited to go and hunt for fresh fish. As you now, Steemit users are divided into species of the ocean.

Minnows and plankton, as we call our new users have now an even greater chance to get found and rewarded!

Several community members came forward to either continue the amazing work they did (like @heyhaveyamet, or are happy to go and hunt for the untouched gems of Steemit. Also @dlike and @ericet speak about onboarding. I wish us tons of new users! Read more here:
