My Favorite Steemit Apps : Steem Supply

Information is power. The more you know, the better you can handle unknown situations by making the correct or better decisions. When things are new to something, everything seems a bit overwhelming. Sure, you may be familiar with some basic portions, but you might not know what to do to make your actions and decisions be as efficient as possible without in depth knowledge of the new activity. FAQs and video can help to some extent, but seeing things in action helps a lot more, especially when is subject based and you are that subject.

When new minnows are born, the first thing they think is: How much Steem do I have and when can I get it?

Well, luckily, the Steemit Apps Center can help out, with apps like Steem Supply.

Steem Supply is a straight forward chart of how you have been doing over the last 7 days and what to expect from your Steem. The developer has been doing updates and fixes lately and I do appreciate these changes. Some are just basic styling, but others are right in your face, like the profile information.

Look at that potential growth!!

Huzzah!!!

Any minnow who has reached the 7 day wait for the first payout would love to see this! If the minnow has been working on creating posts, making the perfect comment and gaining followers, this big bold print of future earnings is a welcoming site acknowledging that the hard work is paying off. Of course, if you are floundering in the shallow pools, it might not be so exciting. On to the rest of the app.

Below the profile information is a chart that has a bar and pie images and some text above. The text shows your overall potential earnings and the amount of Steem you have already collected. The bar chart shows what your payout will be in the next 7 days. From this, you can gleen whether or not you are making progress or not. The pie chart shows your overall earnings split between Posts and Comments. My pie has been steadily growing for the Comments slice, which I will explain in another post. The chart has a tab options, so that you can switch between your Posts and your Comments.

Below the chart is a breakdown of each Post and Comment that has created Steem. It also breaks it down to when you will be paid out for those potential earnings. The same Posts and Comments tab action switches the break down report. The app author recently updated the styling of this area to make it easier to read and see the day by day breakdown.

And of course, like other apps, you can put in another username and see how they are doing, so you can be jealous or laugh. The author has been smart enough to add a witness button to his app and as soon as I figure out how to do that, I will probably click that button. Since the author has been doing a few updates in the past couple of days, expect him to do more updates and maybe even add more features.
