Taking Steemit Seriously With A Design GIVEAWAY, Read On For Instructions

You're the CEO.

I read a comment on one of @exyle's posts ... I can't find it now, but essentially the person said,

"If you want to be successful on Steemit, you need to see your blog as your business. You're the CEO."

{If this was your comment, please feel free to link to it in the comments. If it's within the allotted time, I'll edit my post to include it!}

I'm afraid I didn't even upvote the comment at the time because it was a quick skim and I didn't realize the importance of those words until later. As I thought them over, it started to sink in. If I want to be able to hand over the investments from this "business" to my kids someday, I need to learn how to manage it better.

So I asked myself,

"If this was my business, what would I do differently?"

From my days in Business Administration, this had some obvious answers:

  1. Build a brand
  2. Build a following
  3. Reward loyalty

How I plan to do this

Here are a few ways I've decided to tackle these benchmarks:

  • I made a new footer logo (see below). If for no other reason, it will show readers that I'm serious about what I'm doing here.
  • I'm going to make sure I create content that has value and adds value to the lives of my readers. The twin blog is a place to start, but I want to keep expanding the topics I'm writing on.
  • Having a schedule means that regular readers know when to come back and check my blog. It's hard to keep up with all the articles on Steemit, so I hope this is a help to people who want to follow along.
  • To reward loyalty (or perhaps in the case of today's giveaway, swiftness), I'm going to give you the chance to brand your business blog!

Giveaway

For the first 5 comments, I'll design a custom footer for you! No need to even upvote, just comment! Read carefully though, here are the things you need to include in your comment:

  1. The link to your intro blog or other content so I can learn more about you.
  2. Three adjectives that describe your Steemit persona or your blog.
  3. A picture (that belongs to you) that you want included in the footer.
  4. The hex color codes for your favorite colors, so I can make sure they're exact (and your preference in neutrals - white, black, brown, or gray?)

That's it! I'll design a custom footer for you (it won't be the same format as mine unless you say that's what you want).

Disclaimer

Because this is a giveaway, here are a couple things you should know:

  • If there's something you really hate about it, I can edit it once for you. If you still don't like it, you don't have to use it :)
  • It'll come with a discreet attribution on it that says: designed by @helenoftroy. Hopefully you'll like it so much, you'll want to send others my way for future giveaways!

Keep in mind, it's the first five who get their very own CUSTOM BLOG FOOTER.

And if you miss out, don't worry! I plan on doing this later on too.

Date & Method of Delivery

Right now, I can't guarantee how long the designs will take. Perhaps once I've done this a few times and gotten an idea of how long they take, I'll be able to give an estimated date for future giveaways.

Your custom footer will appear in a future blog and I'll tag your profile. I'll also reply to your comment below so you'll be notified.

Okay, I think that's it! Don't forget to include all FOUR things that I need to make your unique brand image!

Don't worry the next segment in the twin blog will be right here Sunday at 7pm!
