I would like to apply for the role of Steem Country Representative for the UK.
The Country Representatives are playing a key role in the ongoing growth and development of Steem.
The countries with Country Reps have seen significant growth in Steem activity over the past 12 months.
The Reps have for sure been an important catalyst in that growth.
Steem has never had a major presence in the United Kingdom. However with the growing awareness of all things crypto and the increasing dissatisfaction with traditional social networks now is a very good time for a major push to grow Steem in the UK.
My Steem CV
Joined Steem in June 2017
Helped found and run the first community of Homesteaders and Preppers on Steem.
Founded the @adollaraday fundraising project raising over $5000 in six months for more than a dozen charitable projects on Steem.
Was a frontline host on MSP Waves for 18 months producing over 100 shows, and interviewing over 400 Steemians. Key shows included 'The Alternative Lifestyle Show', 'My Life In 8 Songs', 'Here Comes The News' and '60 Minutes of Steem' with the Steemit Inc team.
Was a Promo-Steem Ambassador for the UK.
Established and hosted the State of Steem Forums for witnesses, community leaders and Steemit Inc staff to discuss, plan and work through the difficult times after Steemit Inc had to lay off 80% of their staff.
As a spin off of the SoS Forums began publishing the daily Steem News which after a few breaks has now reached over 345 editions.
Now publishing the daily #winwithsteem lists to promote contests on Steem which have grown significantly over the pass 6 weeks now averaging 15 contests and $300 in prizes every day.
My UK Country Rep Roadmap
Establish SteemClub-UK as a formal country community on Steem to provide a home, and support, for UK based (and ex-pat) Steemians, especially newcomers.
Re-establish @steemclub-uk as a community curation account for the SteemClub-UK community. Grow the account through delegation and earnings to at least 50K SP within 6 months.
Carry out an initial survey of all currently active UK Steemians, and restart publishing the monthly listings of accounts to encourage networking.
Make direct contact with all currently active UK Steemians to establish communication for exchange of ideas and mutual support.
If demand exists establish a UK Steem Discord server. Test out interest for UK Steem virtual meetups in that server.
Approach formerly active UK Steemians to encourage them to return to Steem.
Begin a word-of-mouth recruitment campaign to build the UK Steem userbase.
Explore possibilities for establishing some form of UK Steem charitable operation to build awareness of Steem in the community, and as a vehicle for recruitment.
Establish one UK niche subject community as a trial recruitment platform.
There is currently only a small band of active Steemians in the UK but it would be great to work with the likes of @stephenkendal, @donatello and @simonjay to build Steem here to have a significant crypto-social presence.
