Progress Update: Reputation 40!

After a long, full day, pleased to get home and find my reputation is now 40!

Since my introductory post on May 14th, I'm making steady progress!

Reputations

OK, so maybe not too big a deal to reach a 40, as I see a lot of reputations on posts much higher. But, it is satisfying to me to reach this first goal. Gotta start somewhere!

Also, wish I had a clearer understanding of exactly what goes into this numerical determination of our "reputation," as that word has real meaning to me, as covered in my first update post.

Certainly the number of contributions made to our Steem Community plays a role. So, a blog here and a comment there and I now have exactly 51 posts. Which includes a total of 7 (number 8 coming up!) "blogs." I do take my time to write something that will hopefully be considered worth taking the time to read.

OK, so just the number of posts is a quantitative measure. How about the qualitative measure, i.e. what if any value do these posts have as contributions to our community? Don't have any idea yet how that works ...

Beyond simply posting, what else, if anything, goes into our "reputation?" Hope to understand this better in time.

Kudos

Anyway, I would like to close by taking this opportunity to give a "shout out" to @kenmelendez. In reading his encouraging post, Don't Throw in the Towel, I decided to "put to the test" his offer inside that post. He delivered!!

Great to find a man of integrity, a man of his word, in this day and age. Maybe it is just me, but they seem to be getting fewer and farther between. Thanks for the encouragement @kenmelendez. As you said, just "KEEP POSTING!"

Thank you for the upvotes, resteems, and comments! Onward and upward.

50 or bust!
