What Is Your Vision For Steem? 👁️🗨️
I actually quite like this prompt, as hearing what the actual users of the platform think of it and what they think it means can be a great way to develop on our strengths and create better marketing for the outsiders.
With that being said, here's my vision for what Steem is, could be, and why I care about it:
What is it? ❓
- Steem is a foundation for a new way to utilize the internet. To make it better, fairer, and stronger.
What does it do? 🔎
- It allows for easier transition / integration between different apps. You no longer need a middle man to transfer money from your bank to a game, or cross post your blog onto reddit. Steem is like a river, allowing all of your content & resources to easily float from one location to another.
What is the goal? 🏁
- To allow the next generation of the internet to be more connected. If the first phase of the internet connected people, then Steem will help the next phase connect apps & systems.
What does it have to offer? 🤲
- Fast money transfers & transactions, to friends, games, and apps.
- Build in community. Anyone who creates content on / for Steem, instantly becomes an audience for your own content.
- No censorship, no central authority. The internet was always meant to be an open platform. Steem is allowing us to apply the openness & freedom to everything in our digital lives.
What is it to you? 😍
- It's a new way to do... everything.
To me, Steem is how the internet should be. Play a game? Spend + earn STEEM. Use said STEEM to upvote or tip authors you enjoy. Get inspired and write / create some content of your own. Earn more STEEM from people upvoting your content. Use that STEEM to buy some clothes, or a book, or whatever you want.
It'll all be a cycle. No more various logins across a billion different websites and systems. Just get a Steem account and BAM 💥, all you need will carry with you.
Steem is the phone of the internet. 📱
All of your apps, pictures, notes, friends, money... All of your life has been handily packed into your phone for you, but why isn't it the same for the internet? Why aren't your resources easily accessible and manageable online?
With Steem, they can be.
Steem takes your where you want, and carries your backpack for you. 🎒
Money. Content. Connections. Reputation. Let Steem carry these resources for you as you merrily traverse the world-wide-web. Free, unencumbered, and happy.
The way the internet should be.
That's my vision for Steem. That's why i'm here. I believe that a system like this should exist, and I want to do my part to support it.
