Human beings are always conscious of just themselves. It's a norm. Yoruba people have a proverb that goes " you'll first cultivate your farm before you do your friend's own. My Mum has a mentality I call it an inbuilt app that tells her to give out, even in rough times. Now, I give out atleast 20NGN every day yo a beggar. It's just a starting point. There are two types of Giving: Giving to get something in return and Giving willingly. The latter is the best. Giving should be out of freewill. My Reverend would say if you give what does not shake you, you haven't given enough. I've not gotten to that level, I do sometimes(giving out my last).

I don't know if you have heard this saying that the more you give, the more you get is real and always true. There was a day I gave a beggar the last money on me and I got a bunch of what I gave before sunset. No cryptocurrency, ponzi scheme or money doubler can ever get you this in that short period. The things of God are mighty, surprising and inexplicable. The bible confirms this "God will use the foolish things of the earth to prove the smart people stupid. Some say it is Karma. Whatever you call it, just give out to the people around you.

The real truth is that giving is a source of income (true or true). You get back what you give out. Be it materials, money or emotions. Spend time giving love to a pretty girl, give love despite what she says or do, someday she would love you back. Except you are bad at wooing a girl or some unforeseen powers(village people) are following you. Learn to give out, start with things that are really small to you.
