It was such an honor to be asked to speak at the Steem Creators Conference in Las Vegas - hosted by the @steemcafe crew. Grab your cup of coffee and settle in because you are in for a 26 minute video! My presentation was a little under 20 minutes and then there were about 6-7 minutes of Q&A at the end.
Many of you have been asking to see a video of my presentation - so I wanted to get it up first thing after the conference!
My Slidedeck
In the video, you can't always see my powerpoint slides very well - so I have included images of them below. You will notice that i'm not much of a "pack information into a slide" kind of person, and instead use slides as a visual tool to create a certain feel or emphasize a point. For those who are curious - I used Canva.com as a design tool to create these slides.
Thank you for watching!
I sincerely appreciate anyone who takes the time to watch my presentation. Towards the end of my talk, I challenged people to find their "Close their eyes and hit submit" moment that really pushes them out of their comfort zone. I want to extend the same challenge to anyone who is watching this video after the event. The moments that I have seen the most growth on Steemit, is when I have taken a risk and tried something that scared me.
Think of what that could look like for you and then start working on it. If nothing comes to mind for you in terms of content creation - think about your personal life. What scares you? Do something that makes you face that fear a little bit. Once you start bucking your comfort zone in one area of your life - it has a tendency to bleed into all areas. You may be surprised how facing your fears in one area can still have a positive impact on your content creation.
I am beyond appreciative for you all and for supporting me on my Steemit journey. I hope that you found something in this presentation that adds value to your Steemit experience. I'd love to hear what stood out to you in the speech and if there is anything you are planning to implement in your own content.
Much Love,
Lea
