STEEM Food Tours: A restaurant review - Maison des Crepes

Hello, hello, hello... I hope everybody's doing fine! :)

Pancakes are on the top of preferences when talking about a fast dessert. Filled with various home-made chocolates or fresh fruit creams, the pancakes are an extremely popular dessert. No one will refuse a delicious portion of fluffy and aromatic pancakes.

My friend @jeffjagoe is organizing a contest and I want to join with this post in the 13th edition of the STEEM Food Tours . It is the second time I join in this contest and I am very excited to share with you my experience at a very well-known restaurant in Bucharest which is called Maison des Crepes.

A fluffy portion can be the reward after a day of work. I went with my friends to Maison des Crepes, a bohemian restaurant located in the center if Bucharest. We wanted to go out and after looking on the internet we found their facebook page and decided to go there. Being in the evening, after a tiring day at work, we were obviously starving, but not necessarily for food, but for something sweet.

There are two locations in Bucharest, at Aviatorilor - Emanoil Porumbaru Street 81 and the second in Piata Romana - Mihai Eminescu Street 38. I was at the location in Piata Romana. Set on a quiet street, the Maison des Crêpes is an intimate local, with a minimalist interior design, a small and cozy garden full of lights.

Once we got there, I saw there are a few tables inside and a few outdoor in the yard, and if you want to go on a weekend and have no reservation, you do not have the chance to find a free table. If you decide to go, make a reservation before, so you don't have a surprise!

A polite waiter brought us the menu, where you can find only pancakes. You can eat whether salty or sweet pancakes, the thin classics ones or the American fluffy ones.

Once arrived at Maison Des Crepes, we had one problem: we couldn't decide what to choose from the menu. And rightly so, because once you taste something delicious from the menu, you will want to go back to taste the others.

Whether you like the French style (crepes) or prefer the American (pancake), you have to choose from a multitude of flavors and textures for all tastes.

The menu includes a variety of over twenty types of crepes and pancakes.

All preparations have female names of French or American inspiration: Kylie, Chloe, Josephine, Amelie, etc.

Plus, I really enjoyed smoothies with fresh fruits and lemonade, excellent on a warm day.
I ordered a lemonade of roses.

One of my friends ordered Kylie, cocoa pancakes and cranberry froth and a special cognac flavor.

Another choice was a fluffy pancake cake called Emily containing caramelized apples and vanilla ice cream, a delicious combination.

And this is my choice ... Amelie, cake pancake with Belgian chocolate and orange cream.

Advantages and desadvantages

The price of the pancake is about 5 euros, depending on the topping.
From the menu surely you can find something that you like.

The fact that it is in a central area is a plus, but space itself is reduced, and this is a minus. The design of the restaurant is not spectacular, but it is pleasant to spend time with your friends.

So, if you want to go to Bucharest, you have to visit the local.
