For this entry for #steemfoodtours, the idea came from a friend of mine. While me and my buddy were enjoying a tasty beverage from Brickway, we decided that we should get some food in our stomach once we were done. So we decided to work 2 blocks north to grab a burger. (There you go @jeffjagoe) it’s within walking distance from brickway!

As if we hadn’t already had enough to drink we noticed the great selection of local brews at the bar:

For starters, we went with the cheese curds. These cheese curds are about the size of a ping pong ball stuffed with gooey goodness!

If my heart didn’t skip enough beats during the appetizer, I decided to go with the “hangover burger.” This burger consists of hash browns, a fried egg, and their signature house mayo sauce.

Before I decided to devour my burger, I took a picture of my friends to share with you as well. The pepper jack Mac and cheese burger!

At this time, being a teacher, I was on spring break. So because I talked this place up so much, I talked my wife into a lunch date with me on her day off. She decided to order the bison burger. Anyone who lives in places such as South Dakota and Nebraska knows how good locally raised bison is!

Heres another monstrositie otherwise known as a burger served here: the lasagna burger!

Omaha Tap House has been a staple in Omaha for as long as I can remember and I have lived here my entire life. Omaha is a big event city, and the Midwest region of the sweet 16 will be held here. Fans of Duke, Syracuse and more will be in town and I would highly recommend this place if they are looking for some good homegrown Midwest beef. Prices are fairly reasonable. Most of the burgers are under $11-$12 dollars and Tuesday’s are buy 1 burger, get 1 free!

Omaha Tap House is located on 1403 Farnam Street in Omaha. Check out there website at omahataphouse.com

Happy #steemfoodtours! Thanks for reading!
