Last week I got an opportunity to eat at a misery restaurant known as Hero Pot. I always curious when I pass by the restaurant where I saw a military soldier of the Qing dynasty statue inside of the restaurant.
The restaurant owner definitely hires a really good designer to decorate their restaurant especially the wallpaper and ceiling which attracts customer to walk into the restaurant. The first step walk into the restaurant made me feel a different environment from the outside.
The Design
First, the lantern can be seen everywhere on the ceiling. Each lantern has a unique name of the food on the menu. The idea of making it is brilliant since most people always wonder what to eat and look at the top of the ceiling. These lanterns stimulate and projecting it ideas directly into our imagination while thinking.

Second, the restaurant wallpaper displays many heroes carrying a different type of food. The design of the hero character is similar to the Hong Kong comic known as "Manhua" (in Cantonese dialect). Each hero delivers a message through a dialogue informing us how great is the food.
Third, the round table is available especially for reunion friends and family which a great choice for gathering and team for dinners.
The Meal
The meal is a Hotpot. Hotpot has been existing since a millennium years ago. This traditional food started in Mongolia and North China then spread through around the world.
Hotpot normally comes with a large bowl of soup boiling continuously under the warm fire. The specialty of Hero Pot is the soup. Variety of choice from herbal, spicy, tom yam and assorted mushroom soup to choose from. Meanwhile, dishes of ingredients such all kind of meats, bird egg, seafood, mushrooms, and vegetables to be added it to the soup based on your own choice.
Once the food is cooked, it usually is eaten with a dipping sauce. Multiple of seasonings sauce available and an unlimited combination of your choice to pick from the selection. The dipping sauce is sesame oil, garlic oil, bean curd sauce, chili oil, vinegar, soy sauce, chili, garlic, sesame sauce, spring onion, coriander, and chili sauce.
