1. Food and Menu

Knowing how to eat in GO Street Noodle is your first step in tasting great food. Thankfully, their menu provided step-by-step guide in choosing soups, dishes and noodles which is very beginner-friendly!

The first page of their menu is a 3-step guide to eat GO Street Noodles.

Step 1: Choose your Soup
There are 2 types of soup, Superior and Herbal. Superior soups' typical ingredients are chicken, pork, ginger, scallion, and seafood and they are boiled into a rich broth. Herbal soups are boiled with low heat for a long period of time using Chinese herbs such as Goji Berries, Red Dates, Astragalus Root and Codonopsis Root.

Step 2: Choose your Dish
The said dishes are fish balls, meat balls, pork belly, chicken drumstick, mushroom balls, etc.

This page shows the dish selections for Superior Soup. A dish I want to highlight here is Bursting Meatball. It's minced meat inside a meatball, filled with sweet, rich broth. Once you bite it, the juice inside the meatball bursts out, hence Bursting Meatball.

Moving on, this page shows the dish selections for Herbal Soup. A dish that I want to highlight is Braised Pork Belly Sliced. The pork belly is sliced thinly and braised with soy sauce, dark soy sauce and cooking wine.

Braise is a method of cooking by frying lightly at first then stew slowly in a closed container. It's a cooking method widely used in China, Taiwan and Malaysia.

In this visit, I have ordered my favorite Braised Pork Belly. Every bowl comes with decent serving of lettuce, half braised egg and coriander.

Looks delicious, isn't it? 😋

Step 3: Choose your noodle.
They serve 2 types of noodle, Tok Tok and Mi Xian (rice noodle). The obvious distinctions between the two are color and thickness. My personal preference is Mi Xian because it's texture is smoother and more tender than Tok Tok. Their tastes are almost the same.

Notice the MX and TM icons, those are Mi Xian and Tok Tok noodles. Every bowl comes with a choice of either Mi Xian or Tok Tok. This provides a mix-and-match option for you to try all of their combinations! One of the most flexible restaurant I've ever been to.

One of the distinguished winning point is its wide selection of side dishes. Two main methods of cooking are used, Braised and Fried. For example, Dumplings, Braised Beancurd (Tofu), Braised Pig's Tongue, Braised Pork Belly, Fried Mushroom Pork Ball and Fried Pork with Shrimp Paste.

My personal favorites are Braised Egg and Braised Pig Intestines (another page)

Great food are always accompanied by excellent drinks. GO Street Noodle offers unique and healthy drinks. The 3 bottles lining up from the left are Pomegranate with Aloe Vera, Lime with Mandarin Orange and Snow Pear. They also provides herbal tea such as Wolfberry Tea and Ginger Tea. Oh! They have Coffee and Milk Tea as well. 😉

Last but not least, DESSERTS! (which I've never tried before). As of now, there are 2 choices and they're both Jelly, made of Osmanthus and Fragrant Rice Tea.

2. Location

There is one of GO Street Noodle so far but I foresee they will expand very soon. Right now the only branch is in 22/27, Jalan SS 2/67, SS 2, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

The shop is located on Ground Floor and within one of the busiest commercial square in Selangor. If you're driving, be prepared to be stuck in the square during lunch and dinner hours.

The GPS location is https://goo.gl/maps/ML2q5LwRy8q.

The area is called SS2 which is connected by a major highway called Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP). The nearest train station is Taman Paramount LRT which is 8 minutes drive away.

Recommended way of visit is take a Taxi or Grab car or visit during non-peak hours (2pm - 5pm and 8pm - 10pm) .

3. Ambience

The restaurant is set up to mimic the historical architecture of China roadside food stalls. The wooden tables and chairs, decorations and types of bowls used creates the street environment during the historical age in China.

The square wooden tables and chairs plays an important role in creating old China feeling.

A display of weapons (fake) used by martial artists in China.

I am not sure what this is for 😆😆

4. Facilities

On each table, there are a set of "utilities" consisting of

  • chopsticks
  • 3 empty bowls stacked togeter
  • a jar of green chili
  • a jar of red chili
  • toothpick
  • soy sauce
  • pepper
  • saucepan
  • tissue box
  • order paper

Spoon is given when noodle is served.

Once you're seated, you will be given a menu to decide which food you want to eat. Then write down the codes onto a piece of paper on the table. Pass the paper to a waiter and wait for your noodle to arrive!

  • Wi-Fi is also available in this restaurant, so just ask the staff for password.
  • Washroom / Toilet is located at the end of the restaurant, right opposite of the entrance.
  • GO Street Noodle accepts CASH only, so ensure you have enough CASH before eating.
  • Reservation during peak hours is recommended.
  • This is a non-halal restaurant.

5. Service

One of the most important aspect that will either drive customers away or keeps them coming back. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the worst and 10 being the best, I would rate their customer service as 6.

Because the waiters are just meeting expectations only, nothing extra miles are done. Food is served fairly quick (5 - 10 minutes), there is an usher to arrange your seat and that's pretty much it.

At least, it's not disappointing.
