I'm a bit surprised! This hasn't been very successful at all so far. So we'll throw in a BONUS and up the offer a bit more! Because of the nature of the request, I don't think it should go any higher though...
I propose a #steemgig, to give 7 SBD each, to the first 3 steemians who do the following:
#SteemGig Mission: To give to a charitable organization, at least 2x, full or nearly full, green garbage type bags (or the equivalent,) of used (but clean and still usable,) clothing, toys, books, linens, shoes, or other necessities... (If you have lots of big, bulky stuff like blankets or jackets, let's please make it 3 bags!)
- Take a photo or two, of some of the stuff that is going in the bags.Β
- Do something to make us realize you made the donation, like by attaching a sticker, or paper that says Steemit.com onto one of the bags. Or by taking a photo of you or someone else holding up the current date and a bag-full.
- Take a photo of yourself or someone putting them in the charity's dropbox, or walking into the drop-off centre with them. (Can combine with no. 2.) (No need to ever show your face.)
- Make a post on your own blog, with your photos and telling us about what you did, or if you want, about the charity, or who it will benefit. Please tag your post with #steemgig (s). Tag it however else you want too!
- Drop a link to your post in the comments of this article.
- Bonus 1 SBD each, and mitzvah/karma/brownie points if you get kids involved in the giving!
(Who knows what will happen for the 4th+ participant!)
So just grab some old stuff you don't need anymore, put it it a couple of these...
And make a post, and comment here after generously putting them in one of these, (or some other equivalent...)

Ok, this may sound weird! But I offer to give 2 SBD each, to the first 3 people who using the same rules as above, donate 2 small tins of sardines (they must be sardines!) to your local food bank, or drop-off bin in your grocery store. (In Toronto, virtually every grocery has one near the cash-out.) If you can find a way to give them directly to someone who needs them, that would be ok too, so long as you can do it in a way which causes them no embarrassment. If you do this with your kids, then it's 3 SBD!
