Hello world of awesome foodies of Steemit!
It's unbelievable how quick time is running these days...It's already Friday and time to kick off another round of your most favorite cooking contest on Steemit - Steemit Iron Chef!
Yes my friends, after another amazing round (the 7th of Act 1), I am here to reveal the mysterious product that the contestants are going to work on and make us discover their creations during the next seven days!
In total up to now, for round 7 of Act 1, we received 22 entries! As usual a very encouraging rate of participation for a cooking contest! Thanks everyone who joined, the judging process has already started and results will be out soon!
If more entries come up before I complete my judging, for sure I will take them into consideration!
So without losing too much time, let me reveal the product which will be the theme for Steemit Iron Chef 2018 Act 01 Round 09!
So after the fruit theme of round 08, time to get back to a vegetable for this 9th round...
I am sure all our contestants will be happy to read that they will have PEAS to work on this week!

Oh yes, PEA is such an interesting product to work in the kitchen...we can do practically anything we want with them!!! I am so excited to see what surprise our contestants will come up with!
As usual, I want to clarify and confirm that you may use any varieties of peas you wish to...Garden peas, Snap Peas, Snow Peas, Wando Peas, Mr. Big, Maestro, Little Marvel, Sugar Snap, Snowbird...and the list goes on!!! Fresh, dried or frozen...feel free to use whichever you have in your region or even better make us discover a variety which is known to your region only!
Surprise us and make either a starter, or a main course or a dessert based with peas!
The rules and regulations have been updated for the 2018 season and here is what is needed to have a valid entry in the contest.
Please make sure to respect all rules to have your entry validated!
- Create a post and title your entry 'Steemit Iron Chef 2018 Act 01 Round 09 : Name of your dish'
- Make either a starter or main course or dessert with the product of the week.
- Two entries per person are allowed.
- Make sure to use #steemit-ironchef tag in any order you wish, so that I don't miss your entry!
- Only new recipes will be accepted, so I need at least one photo with your name and date on it.
- I don't need to see your step by step preparations/recipes, just make the list of the products used, describe your dish and add some photos to get my attention! Make it sweet and simple!!!
- Post a link of your entry here on this post (Very Important to do, so that I don't miss your entry) and also share your entry on our discord channel - https://discord.gg/R3R26k8 to get some more support from the awesome foodies there!
- Any participant not following these simple rules will be considered a non validated entry.
Be the most creative , inventive and refined possible, you'll win a lot of points...
The DEADLINE to submit your entries will be Friday 16th March 2018 once round 10 is announced!
By participating in Steemit Iron Chef, you give me the right to use your posts/food photos for public announcement!
WEEKLY PRIZES
Same as all previous rounds, different prizes consisting of SBD, Voiceshares, Skillcoins and Trophy Tokens will be shared to the winners!

I want to remind everyone that in order to receive tokens like Voiceshares, Skillcoins and Trophy Tokens, you have to open an account on bitshares openledger and let me know your address!
