Am not sure how much good or damage this story this will do:

It perpetuates an air of mistrust and while the basic tenet of the story is probably correct: cheating partners use golf as an excuse;I don't think the reverse holds true: golfers are cheaters.
There is a certain degree of cynical observations here that could cause damage to healthy and trusting relationships.
Just saying ....
