Hello! Hello! Steemit Topic #2

What do you think about chasing Whales and Dolphins? If you are doing it, do you benefit from them? Do share with us your related stories.

@rlt47

@rlt47 said that a "school of minnows" can be bigger than a whale. We need to seek our own style and personality. Sometimes this offends some people but others will appreciate it; if we truly believe in what we are doing. Having said this we should not be openly confrontational, but seek to educate and defend our positions. He learned from his own flagging experience and he believes that there should be some proper judgments made rather than just simply bullying done by some Seniors whose abusing their power. He doesn’t condone spamming or begging but believe in being productive and efficient. We have the responsibility of educating the spammers as well as those strict flaggers whose driving fear into newbies in these 2 aspects:
a) they have a responsibility to teach newbies before flagging.
b) that their behavior is bordering on bully tactics.

@wilhb81

@wilhb81 has first started with dMania before joining a local Steemit group that encouraged him to kickstart his Steemit journey by writing some articles. He has received many upvotes from Whales and Dolphins by slowly building his relationship with them. His advice to the newcomers “if you think that Steemit is a place that you can spam and get away with enormous money = then you better seek other places”. We just need to do the right things, by not spamming the community as we don't know when we're going to bump into a strict Whale/Dolphin which is really bad news. We must try our best to build and maintain a long-term relationship.

@cstrimel

Prof @cstrimel said that perhaps the potential pay-out must be so attractive that has made some people to spam. It’s a luxury to be able to get into great conversations with people but he doesn’t think it’s a sustainable approach. It’s fine to look, engage and follow some whales with good content, just like what he did with anyone else. But he feels that any future great profit will likely come from the minnows you grow up with. And whether will we still be supporting each other five years from now? That’s the question!

@syedkashifhussai

@syedkashifhussai said that by joining this group is a good step to become strong and successful Steemians. Together, we will support each other and will always help newbies. We learn from our mistakes and follow all rules. We can follow some good whales but not by begging or spamming. Slow and steady wins the race.

@rvag5

@rvag5 said the whales/dolphins have come to that place in the same way like us now. Slowly climbing and positioning themselves in it. Her advice to all newbies, it is not to follow them but we must learn in this great school, their successes and failures. The most important thing is how to reach that level? Validate your own authorship, quality content, novelty, expand your horizon, support each other and be successful together in this platform.

@atakan57

@atakan57 stressed that it is very important to be sincere, patient, and be original. We must take advantage of everyone's experience. It is very important to make a relationship with whales and should take advantage of the whales’ experience. We should only follow those whales that are relevant to us otherwise we lose our identity.

@denni.japro

@denni.japro said that we are here to share, appreciate, help and get to know each other so that we will build a strong relationship, produce quality content, advise and help each other. The whales themselves will come to visit our page if we produce quality content. We follow those whales to learn from their experience but we will always follow the rules.

@shanu

Shanu said everyone should be appreciated for their genuine work which would make them feel better plus the financial benefit. We must continuously support one another. We all are fortunate to be part of this group (HHG) and we would be a good support to newbies and also those fairly new but still trying hard to be known on Steemit World.

@gumegxgolgom

@gumgxgolgom said he heard of many wrong ways to get SBD like creating multiple accounts and spamming in comments but he has learned well and has chosen the right path by posting original, interesting posts and not spamming.

@quratulain

Doctor @quratulain was a newbie in HHG said that she has been posting genuine posts, and look for interesting posts and comment when she has something to say, instead of spamming. She believes in sticking to certain principles irrespective of what the work, and keeping everything clean and ethical for a win-win situation if the fun part and the financial part can actually go hand in hand. She wishes to connect with people whose work she enjoys and who, in turn, enjoy hers.

A Shout Out of Thanks to the following Great Steemians who supported this project.
