I have been mining for a few years now. In the past, it was CPU mining Litecoin, Feathercoin, Worldcoin, and a bunch of other altcoins. Later on, I built a 4 GPU rig (see @bitcoiner/qdvbi-hello-friend) and started mining altcoins based on Scrypt, X11, etc. More recently, it has solely been Ethereum as that is currently the most profitable.
Then joining Steemit a few weeks ago, I've been trying to mine STEEM! After following a few guides from Steemians such as @pfunk and failing and persisting, I have finally gotten steemd up and running, and have been mining for a few days now on an I7 desktop:
~25000 hps! Not bad, huh? Or, is that not that much?
Difficulty has have been adjusting from day to day and some days I would find more blocks than other:
