Besides the identification and voting of nominated content, one of the responsibilities of an @ocd Curator is to recognize and reward these Steemit authors.
This can be in the form of interaction, follows. comments, and upvotes. Some rent Steem so their vote can help impact the authors more. Nothing is set in stone. One way some of the @ocd Curators are maximizing recognition and rewards for authors is the creation of curation trails on Steemian. These trails led by @ocd Curators and main purpose is to identify under-appreciated content created by under-appreciated Steemit authors. This content will be:
created by Steemians recent to the platform,
posts that have not received the rewards the quality of content suggests, and
content original to Steemit, not reposted content from other sources.
