As my follower and friend @toofasteddie pointed out, there is a UI bug in Steemit which displays the account value disproportionately high. Here's how mine is looking like:
I didn't look in the sources, but I expect one of the following scenarios:
- the calculated price in fiat is instead the RC value of that account
- the calculated price is somehow borked (type error?) by the STEEM price going below $1 (a "." or a "," misplaced somewhere)
- or, we're all billionaires and we should start celebrating NOW :)
