Deepening the Economy: Second Steemit Meetup Success at a the Arts Goggle Festival in Downtown Fort Worth

Arts Goggle was a great success!

Thousands of people turned out for this festival of the arts in Fort Worth's eclectic Southside neighborhood on Saturday. The community came together to transform 15 city blocks into a makeshift gallery for creators to showcase their works. Over 15,000 attended, and the flow of people didn't let up until late evening, so we utilized this fantastic opportunity to host a Steemit Meetup at this mega-event.

This exhibit was made out of shrink wrap and spray paint! (Cool idea, although it's not quite up to our sustainable standards.)

Style is art, a chance to express personality.

Quinn's life is art, and we couldn't resist another steemy photoshoot against this colorful mural.

Eden Knights are ambassadors of good will and high standards! We represented not only ourselves, but also the  Urban Traders Market of local handcrafted goods that is held each month in downtown Fort Worth.

Our goods are offered by donation towards our cause of feeding, clothing, housing, and educating more people than ever before, and all of our operations are in support of that.

Further, Arts Goggle was the perfect venue to host our second Steemit Meetup!

We shared our experience of using this ground breaking platform with established and new users. Quinn gave an overview talk of this site. Like us, this crowd is still new to the cryptocurrency scene, so SBD as a means of exchange was a popular topic of conversation. We excitedly demonstrated how easy it is to exchange Steem dollars for real material goods through the Peerhub marketplace, and festival goers remarked how they would love the ability to use SBD right then and there to exchange for some of the epic handmade treasures we hand on offer at Arts Goggle.

We had @everlove's inspired upcycled mixed media creations on display, as well as our organic homegrown tobacco, Epic Handmade Knives and selections from Quinn's Medicinal Jewelry.

We're looking forward to the day when SBD transactions are as easy and convenient as using Paypal or the Square for in-person goods exchange. According to our outreach, the demand is there and it will serve to strengthen the Steemit economy by increasing the ease by which these agreements can take place.

All in all, it was an enjoyable and successful day for the whole family! Quinn graced the space with the sacred sounds of the digeridoo, artists shared their inspired visions, we handed out caramel apples to celebrate the fall, a parade of bagpipers treated us to their music, and friends came together to enjoy each other's company. Here is a gallery of our day:

Thank you @everlove for capturing so many beautiful moments in photos!

Thank you @quinneaker for holding space for a new economy built on VALUES!

We look forward to holding more events to build community and offer sustainable goods by honorable exchange. We would like to hold a Steemit Meetup in Dallas. Would you be interested in attending?
