We had a great time hosting the first Steemit Meetup in Fort Worth!
Because Steemit has upgraded our lives, we want pay it forward and share this incredible platform with as many people as possible! For that reason, we chose to hold this premier event at the grand opening of the monthly Urban Traders Market held at Shipping and Receiving, a great indoor/outdoor space with plenty of room for live music and entertainment, trade exchanges, and even office space! Hundreds of people were in attendance, and a good time was had by all.
Quinn shared perspective on the revolutionary potential of this transparent blockchain and cryptocurrency-backed social media. While few current Steemians attended, it was great to introduce our beloved Steemit to an entirely new audience. Minds were blown, and several people resolved to open new Steemit accounts! It felt like a great success.
The meetup was a highlight of our weekend filled with enjoyment and community building. We would like to share more of our great experiences from the event:
Musicians set a lovely atmosphere throughout the weekend.
Artisans and master craftsmen showcased their unique wares.
Naturally, we shared free food.
Festival goers relaxed in our copper pyramid.
We also offered our extensive collection of epic treasures by donation towards feeding, clothing, housing, and educating a happy, healthy community, including our Epic Handmade Knives; Quinn's Medicinal Jewelry line; Epic Shreds fashion; jams, salsas, and preserves from our Über Dank Pantry; beyond organic; super sustainable; wildcrafted tea and smoking blends; homegrown tobacco; and high vibe health supplements.
By sharing real, sustainable options for health and wellness, our Eden Knights raised enough funds to facilitate 100 free meals for those in need!
Our talented musicians graced the main stage to give crowd-favorite performances. Shellie played the Tibetan bowls, and Quinn entranced the audience with his handmade didgeridoo.
There was even a surprise belly dance flash mob!
The weekend was fun for the whole family, and we achieved our mission of building a more awesome world for everyone!
We're already looking forward to and planning for our next Steemit meetup in Fort Worth, to be held at the Arts Goggle Festival on Saturday, October 8. We expect thousands to attend this annual fair that will feature over 500 artists and 60 musicians. If you are in the area, please come by to participate in the revolution!
