[Japan Photo Blog] Vol. 23: Meeting up with fellow Steemian @nicksikorski for whisky, Shinto shrines, and Voluntaryist freedom plotting!

Friend.

Last Thursday an online friend who follows Voluntary Japan, and who has an extensive knowledge of Permaculture (an organic farming movement based on the principles of anarchism, sustainability, and self-sufficiency) was kind enough to make the trip up to Niigata to have some whiskies, shoot the shit, and basically bask in the warmth of not being that lone "anarchist weirdo" in the group for a couple days. I had a great time. Here are some photos. (By the way, be sure to check out Nick's blog here on Steemit (@nicksikorski) and also his contributions on the Voluntary Japan Facebook page). Cheers!

Single malt Scotch Whisky "new make" samples. These full-on, full-strength green guys are whiskies that have been pulled from the mix before they have even been put into a cask to mature. Nick's experience in the whisky industry and his kindness afforded me the unique opportunity to sample these fiery motherfuckers!
