I first found Steemit pretty close to a month ago now.
I randomly stumbled on it in the comment section of a SeekingAlpha post about facebook. Before that I had been spending my time trying to grow a fitness Instagram, had no clue about anything bitcoin or blockchain related and hadn’t been able to find a good outlet for the things I wanted to talk about.

Now Steemit definitely hasn’t changed my life don’t get me wrong.
The exciting aspect about it is that someday it could. My post payouts have been increasing (partly from bots to be fair) I have been doing a lot better, in my opinion on my posts and with community engagement and I’m even thinking about making an investment in myself on this platform. I’m truly hopeful that I can have a bright future on this platform and I’m very thankful to everyone who takes the time to read what I write and leave a thoughtful comment. Those truly make my day. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a list full of comments waiting for me when I wake up in the morning, or get of of work. So thank you to everyone who’s made my day so far! You guys rock!

I can honestly say I’ve learned a few things on my short journey so far

• I really love writing
  I always thought I hated writing. Probably from years of schooling, always having deadlines, and not being allowed to write about what I want just made it a chore. Now that I can write about what I want, it’s truly rewarding to see the type of content I’m able to create. So I’m definitely thankful to have gained a new hobby!

• I can actually bring value to a platform
  After spending months toiling on Instagram to no avail. I’ve finally found somewhere I won’t be drowned out by all the booty chicks and bros. I can write about want, be myself, and people will actually enjoy it? How could I possibly not be loving the platform?

• New investment opportunities
  Steemit has opened my eyes to a whole new world of investment opportunities outside of the stock market. I haven’t dipped my toes in yet, but I’m certainly eyeing my an opportunity to test it out.

Where I hope to go from here

I’ve gradually been spending more and more of my free time outside of work here, and probably will continue to do so. It’s fun to interact with everyone and see what you guys think! My goal in my next month is to consistently hit more and more upvotes as well as respond to every comment that comes my way! I’m also aiming to gradually grow that follower number into something I can really be proud of. Most importantly I want to write better and better content every post. Thank you guys again for making my effort worth it!
