I've been on Steemit since September, and even though I'm still a little minnow, I was able, thanks to wonderful followers, to make a bit of Steem and SBD. My husband is the bread winner of our family, I'm lucky enough that I get to be a stay-at-home Mom, raise our children, our chickens and our gardens without having to be in the workforce.
I won't go into details cause no one wants to hear about our problems, I will just say that we've had a rough time lately, and I was able to help out a bit by cashing in my Steem and SBD. The money I had saved here since September paid our rent for July!
Can I get a hellz Ya?
It definitely felt good to be able to help our family a little bit, and all for doing here, what I would normally do on facebook: Share our lives, our stories, and hope to inspire people to grow food, and share/trade/barter in their communities. I am also here to raise awareness about critical issues we face as a world.

We will get through this bump in the road, I know we will, we are survivors, it is just so great that I had this little nest egg here, and now also, I have solid proof for my friends who I try to get to join, that Steemit Works, it IS REAL, and with some persistence they could too earn a little extra money for their own needs.
