Bots have been one integral part of steemit. Without being hesitant I will say I have been regularly using them. But lately I see no returns coming out from any bots, unless there are any which I am not aware of and someone can suggest me.....
For a month I was doing the calculations for every single post, and I found that the end result in the pay out was a loss in what I invested in the bots. Unless I am wanting to convert my SBD into SP at this point of time, which I am not planning to since the SBD is less than the SP, it is a loss for me to use the bots. I will atleast wait for the SBD and SP price to be equal for the conversion. Now let me give you one e.g.
As I say if someone is looking at converting SBD to SP this may be ok, but for the one who is not, this does not work. As you see in this transaction I used 30 SBD on a Bot and my final payout against it was only 31 due to the declining rates, hence a complete loss scenario. At the time I invested in the bot on 30 SBD I received payout of 45, but then the prices of steem fell further and the payout of 45 gradually started decreasing and by the time of payment it was 31 and then there was, so even in whole the 30 SBD returns was loss.😀
If my payout would give me 30 SBD or more than that, then using the bot will make sense to me.
Using a Bot or not is entirely one's wish as per what you are looking at in returns. I would like to keep my SBD intact right now and make a decision on how to use it when the market gets better. It would be good to do the calculations with your trends in the last few posts and then take a decision. Else there is no right or wrong of this.
Please note this is just my opinion and no expert advice.
Even if the price of SBD does not go higher then Steem, I will still preserve my SBD for now and use on Bots when the prices go little higher so that I can get better returns from my investment in BOTS.
I will surely start using bots again in future as the prices get better.
