Have you ever found yourself copying and pasting the same links over and over again and wished that there was an easier way to keep track of the most useful links? Me too (and thanks to @lukestokes for helping me to realize that)!
Thus I am here to present a simple solution that many users shall likely appreciate - and I shall be describing it.
You are logged into Steemit.
You encounter an informative or otherwise interesting link (which may be your own).
You say to yourself "I sure wish that I could just refer to this post whenever I want, without having to add all that html every time!"
Well, a button appears at the bottom of the post, either where the 'Promote' button usually is - or right next to it.
This is the 'Store Link' (or 'Store Post') link. You click it.
A small form with four fields appears.
Three of them are ready-filled with the Title, Author and URL of the post.
Additionally a fourth field offers you the option to include a Shorthand Tag.
This tag allows you to save time when referencing this post in future.
For example:
Title: 'Suggestion - Lets Weave Steemit Data Flowers!'
Author '@pathforger'
url: '@pathforger/suggestion-lets-weave-steemit-data-flowers'
Shorthand Tag: '[DataFlowers01]'
You save it.
Next time you are posting... well...
Syntax can be refined to include text.
Links to [DataFlowers01,"Data Flowers"]...
Links to Data Flowers...
So this about covers another Steemit suggestion. Its actually a rather simple suggestion - but I do think it'd be useful.
I'd still appreciate any feedback and critique that you Steemians have to offer.
Did you like this suggestion?
If so then there are two ways that you can help:
Your feedback really helps me to identify flaws and improve upon the suggestion as a whole!
Since I am follower-impaired your resteam could give this suggestion some of the exposure that it deserves.
And if you didn't like it then you could really help out by letting me know with a reason why (how else am I to improve?). :c)
Well thats all for now.
Sincerely,
