Are you kidding me? @ned and @andrarchy showed up to our humble little meetup last night! We had about 15 people show up but I forgot to get a group photo before a few Steemians left.
As usual we stayed at Cenote until they closed at midnight and then walked over to Brew & Brew for a little recap/after party. The meetup was just as casual as usual, so it was really awesome to sit around and talk about the future with the CEO of Steemit Inc!
Ned talked about so many things that are on the horizon for Steemit and the Steem Blockchain, that I am incredibly excited about. It was inspiring to hear some the behind the scenes details about things I've been looking forward to in the roadmap. All I can say is HODL STEEM!
I really enjoyed hearing about some of the cool things @andrarchy is doing like the @hardfork-series, which you should definitely check out if you haven't seen it. Last week @bakerchristopher joined Steemit and made an intro post that included a little bit about the project.

It was such a great time having @ned and @andrarchy right here in Austin interacting with a captivated audience in an intimate setting. I guess it's pretty obvious why Steemit Inc. would want a presence here in Austin, being a very tech oriented town, and the Steem community here is clearly going to be huge!
I can't imagine a better combo to have shown up to educate us and answer all our questions! Thank you so much for that guys!

The 3rd monthly meetup was a great success! It looks like the meetups will just get better and better. We will probably be changing our location soon so we can have access a projector and be able to do more in depth presentations. @xtrodinarypilot is starting a Steem meetup in Houston so make sure not to miss out on that if you're in the Houston area.
