Steemit has been a huge blessing to me this year and it's worth telling people about. I've been telling people about steemit since April this year and I've just been moving from one level of reaching out to people about steemit to another.

I started out by reaching out to my Facebook friends from different locations and that approach didn't give me the kind of results I really wanted, so I decided to reach those around.

Right now we've been able to raise over 59 new steemians from uyo and about 20 of them are currently active. The rest are still hoping between Facebook and steemit. It's really not easy raising these guys up when you don't even have steem power to help them curate their valuable contents.

The only thing I do for them is just to tell them not to give up and return to Facebook where they were spending their money to buy data and make Mark richer. Nigeria is too tough to continue living that way. Most of them listened and showed up in our first MEET-UP.

So today, we made we had our steemit MEET-UP #2 in uyo, akwa ibom State. The meeting lasted for over 4 hours with over 15 "steemians.

This special meet-up was inspired by @ejemai . I was just on my table trying to read and my phone rang, I picked it up and it was @ejemai that called.

I was really surprised because the normal thing for people that have achieved what people like @ejemai has achieved is to wait for newbies to come meet them or beg for support or guidance, no! @ejemai is different,he actually reached out to us first and traveled for over 2 hours just to come steem up the students of the university of uyo about steemit.

Not only did @ejemai teach us about the core values of steemit, he also told us how to change the world with steemit. Currently @stach is empowering young Nigerians in Port Harcourt.

During the talk, @ejemai officially announced the opening of @stach accelerator hub in uyo. According to @ejemai this hub will be fully equipped with everything needed for the steemit uyo community to access steemit without hitches.

Big thanks to all steemit uyo team and to @ejemai for reaching out to us and showing us love through @stach.

opening of @stach in Port Harcourt, just in case you missed it.
