Steemit.com is growing
More content gets posted every day on Steem than ever before. We are growing, and that is a good thing. In the Steemit Stats by @arcange, we’ve had a bit over 10 000 active authors for some time now, and the active curators are just growing every day, now passing 25 000.

Technical Requirements are needed
But with growth comes new issues and requirements for technical solutions. Everyone knows that there are needs to change the way we find and explore the items that we want to read. The more information you have, the better the tools need to be to find the items you are looking for, but also the ways you search for and discover new content.
While @jerrybanfield posted about making a separate re-steem tab, something I think we need to do in another way. The Blog tab is the tab where all the content is in; we need tabs or filters to find content better. I think we instead could implement some filters to hide/show specific content.
My Feature Request is VIP/Favorite Tab
Something else that I would love to see is a way to add some higher status to the people I follow. It may be because I found them very interesting or that I’m a long-term follower of them and wish to see them easier than in a feed stream that is filling up faster than I can read it sometimes. I do not want to unfollow anyone because I do find them all interesting.
I know and understand that this idea can not just be implemented and would require some extra data fields to single them out from the rest of my people I follow. But it’s an idea and a proposal.
A Proposal on design
On my blog, I gain a VIP Tab
This tab will show only posts by the people I’ve added as VIP. There may be a filter to show/hide ReSteems.
On the drop-down box, I can select or remove if a person should be VIP
On my follower's page I can select or remove if a person should be VIP
