Case 1: @iconzbranding claiming stolen artwork as his own

Sherlock Holmes Header

Accusation:

@iconzbranding is claiming to be the creator of Arinze Stanley Egbe's artwork.

The relatively new account of @iconzbranding is making quite some waves here on steemit.com.

He's receiving a lot of praise for his wonderful drawings... but there's a problem, they are all stolen.

Let's take a look at his latest introduction post from 3 days ago:

Lawrence. H. U. (born 17 January 1988) an artist from Nigeria in West Africa. He lives in Abuja capital city of Nigeria, where he grew up.

That's rather strange. The artist who is publicly known to have created the art published under this account is called Arinze Stanley Egbe - and his official website tells a different story:

Arinze Stanley Egbe was born on 20th November 1993 in Lagos, Nigeria

This alone doesn't prove anything. So let's look further:

If you thought @iconzbranding is only good with a pencil, no in the recent post "My Ink Work" he also claims to create stunning art with a ball-pen.

Problem this time: a quick google search for the image reveals that it is widely known to have been created by another Nigerian artist called Chijioke Anyacho.

@iconzbranding likes to publish a what's-app number +2348067579669. Maybe we should send him a text or two ;)

It couldn't be any more obvious, could it?!

yours,
Sherlock
