So the idea behind this is to add accountability and debate over flags.
Currently its set up that even if you don't like someone you can mass flag their posts. There should be in my opinion a system set in place that if someone downvotes they give a reason an it posts it as a comment. Thats why i believe reason should be given for flags an those reason be posted as comments an if the community agrees they can upvote that user, but if its a total bs reason they can downvote the comment.
Pro's of this system:
- Flag accountability
- Being able to track mass flagger's such as bots and so on
- Adding a level of debate to the current platform increasing the level of discussion on posts.
Yes i know you can just do that with out flagging via reply.
- Users knowing what they did wrong in the post, such as forgetting to source content so they can improve on their content.
Not everyone go's on steemit.chat, so almost all users won't know what they did wrong if there isn't a comment.
Cons of this system:
- It could make it harder to nuke bots having to give a reason every time you down vote, then someone notices you keep putting the same comment while trying to destroy harmful/annoying bots then flags you.
- Personal vendettas to mess up someones earnings can't be fulfilled with out a proper reason.
I would really like to know the communities opinion of this system or any other system they think might work.
So please feel free to leave a comment below so we can start a constructive debate.
