Today I created a personal Steemit database and gathered data from over 10,000 Steemit posts from the past 5 days. Over the next few days I plan on doing some deeper analysis and potentially building some models to predict payout, all of which I plan on sharing. Today, however, was data collection and review day. I began planning a post for tomorrow on the most popular and most lucrative category choices for Steemit posts, but got distracted by a surprisingly entertaining list of categories. Particularly upsetting is all of the 'introduceyourself' posts that got lost in the mix due to typos or weird variations of the tag. This may already be on the roadmap for Steemit, but autofilled categories could be a nice addition, similar to the way that Twitter handles typing out hashtags.
