I've been using Steem Whales most of the time I've been on Steemit. You get lots of stats on your account and can see how others are doing. One niggle is that since the Steem Dollar went way up the account value has been showing lower than it should. I think the calculations were based on SBD being $1. Now their rates at the bottom of the page show all the current prices and the estimated value is more what I would expect.
Yes, I'm doing pretty well, but then I've been here 10 months. You can check my stats to see I made very little in the early weeks. I've gradually built a following who support me. I'm still a fairly small fish here except when it comes to number of posts. I'm in the top 20 for that, but may fall. Some bots are overtaking me.
They also added a new feature to create posts that share the rewards with others. This has been part of Steemit for a while, but cannot be done from the main site yet. This is useful for collaborative posts or other times you think someone else deserves a share. I may look into trying this soon. You only need to use your posting key for this.
