Time and Money
On July 30, 2016 I decided that STEEMIT was worth it. It being my time and money. At this point I decided to make the move towards achieving Hero Status and transforming into a Dolphin. In my article, I explain that I had made it to 1000 STEEM POWER, by blogging and upvoting but mostly I bought the STEEM to convert to STEEM POWER. Here I explain why I wanted to achieve the magic number of 1000 STEEM POWER.
Today, August 3, 2016 marks the 4th Day of holding 1000 STEEM POWER. As you can see in the picture, on July 30, 2016 I had 1000 STEEM POWER in my STEEMIT account. I have posted approximately 9 articles. I have given out countless up votes while being somewhat selective and never dropping below 75% in voting power. I didn’t officially keep track, but I believe I commented/replied between 8 - 20 times per day while also being selective as to which articles I left comments on.
STEEM Power Gains
As of August 3, 2016 I now have 1036.5 STEEM POWER. I rounded the number for simplicity. That means that in 4 days I gained about 36.5 STEEM POWER. That math works out to about a 3.65% gain in 4 days, or just slightly less than 1% a day at .9%. So between some blogging, some up voting, some commenting and the interest earned by STEEM POWER, it seems I made a nice return.
By the time I post this and you read this, I will have doubled down and acquired another large batch of STEEM POWER. I will be 3/4ths of the way to HERO status. At this moment there are only about 537 HERO accounts out of the about 45,000 STEEMIT users. I am hoping to make it HERO #538 or so real soon. Hopefully I can help make a difference for the better here on www.steemit.com. I plan to be as active as possible and I also plan to spread the wealth as much as possible.
