"steemgigs" Witness Update!!! Plus, "If Going To The Moon Happened"; "Steem To The Moon Is Very Attainable". What You Can Do Today?

The "steemgigs" witness server is temporarily disabled as we await a fix from @privex, the hosting provider that we use.

@privex is ran by a reputable steemian, thus, the "steemgigs" witness has used their service since it started.

The "steemgigs" witness server suddenly started missing blocks and it was impossible to ping, access or reboot the server as @privex doesn't yet have provisions for a UI portal that customers can manage.

In cases like this, we will have to wait on @privex to fix the situation. I have tried reaching them on multiple occasions already but there has been delays in their response likely due to the holidays. Not to keep missing blocks, it became necessary to disable the "steemgigs" witness key temporarily, till we get a resolution from @privex really soon.

The "steemgigs" witness is on a 64 GB RAM server.

I apologize for this and i will look to reduce the possibility of cases like this in the near future. In the meantime, please continue to support the "steemgigs" witness as it will be back up in no time.

Even while it is temporarily disabled, it is still possible to vote on it and if you currently support it, please maintain your votes as it will be back up really really soon.

While we work on restoring the witness, we have not relented on enhancing the user experience on https://steemgigs.org and adding new features.

You can see the latest patch here.

We also added another simple patch earlier in the day, that allows you to open post-cards (post thumbnails) "in new tab", letting you explore SteemGigs better.

We are looking to add additional core features in the next day or two.

The price of steem is down but there are still many positives. For one, we are not tiring out on the development of https://steemgigs.org and i consider this a positive.

We are creating another gateway to the steem blockchain and in due time, we will promote this gateway passionately to add our quota to steem growth.

On steem, everyone has a stake and we can make sure that "steem" succeeds. It is that simple!

During these times, it is time to have more fun on steemit. Note that in the past, there was "an entire month" on steemit, when there was virtually "no reward pool" (the reward pool was empty) and ofcourse a time when steem was 7 cents. During these times, steemians kept on active to make sure steem thrives.

Infact, during the month when the reward pool went empty, i created even more content. I created an incentive to find out more about who i really am and define and re-defined my definition to deeply root it.

I also used those times to explore more aspects of steem. There weren't many other apps at the time either. So when i say "i created more content"; i mean full-blown posts and many of them too

Hahaha, i even tried games using my posts; one such game, where i hid stuff in random posts all around steemit, left clues within my post and had people try to find these items; "something like pokemonGo"

@papa-pepper plays alot. @kus-knee plays alot. @stellabelle too.

Basically, during these times, i tried alot. I also learned alot; I wanted to! I curated alot too. Curation had nothing to do with how much SP i had at the time (I was minnow on paper). It involved more of engagement and "learning" for me

I had a discord server at the time called "steem lab" with a channel called "steem dump" and in it, i would just store up excerpts of amazing steem posts, with hopes that soon, i would cook up this INTEL into at least one major breakthrough solution to real world problems without solutions.

If you visit the Steem Lab link above, it will lead you to a steemit post and you will notice that i earned a bit above 1 dollar on the post but a whale's comment was the first on the thread and he followed me.

I played with steem within my posts. I envisioned things. You will see an example in this post, where i envisioned playfully what the case would be, if we add the steem blockchain and decentralization to the patent industry.

I also built my own country within a steemit post and envisioned all that i would want in it. At the time, another steemian (@samstonehill) was busy documenting truths that he unveiled about his Father's passing. He simply was saving these findings permanently on the steem blockchain as mainstream media tried to censor the truth etc

Now, it is quite easier to create content as we have a growing number of apps and creating content can indeed be a fun easy process e.g https://busy.org allows you to write "quick posts" e.g "what's on your mind", like you may be accustomed to doing on Facebook or Twitter and they even offer to auto-vote your posts based on an algorithm that measures your influence by "number of followers".

Zappl allows you to post zaps.
You could also do memes
etc

While it is easy to tire out because potential payouts appear low, it is also very easy to use these times to expand our steemit activity levels. Especially, if we use our steemit activity primarily as media to learn more about ourselves; the whole endeavor becomes easy and fun.

You always have an audience and i tell you, your major audience should be YOU. Sometimes, being too wary about shaping up to an audience to get their "likes" etc deters your evolution.

To truly draw people in, you will need to evolve first. So, if you feel people aren't reading your post; "don't just quit". Read your post; re-read it; marvel at it and if you aren't marveling just yet; attempt to write another piece and another piece, till you start to marvel.

This takes consistency but can also become utmost fun because i tell you, "marveling at your own creation", when you begin to do so, is a special type of fun (great feeling).

Yes, when you start to doubt that you created something, you are attaining "greatness" (in the field).

During these times when the price of steem is low, it is also possible to attain more steem power, if that is your goal.

Steem power is simply vested steem, thus, if you couldn't get 500 SP when the price of steem was 4 US dollars because it cost 2000 US dollars in investment or 2000 US dollars in steem rewards, you can currently gather 500 steem more easily.

Consider using this time to explore other facets of the steem ecosystem and there are many facets to it. You can also use this time to create a new facet.

When it comes to content creation, there are now many more forms of content to try out. In general, what's rewarded on steemit is "value" and there are many ways to create value.

You can look into "curation" too as a means to grow "steem power" but moreso as a means to empower yourself through learning.

If you haven't tried these other styles of content available on steem, why not use these times to do so.

"Learning is the ultimate Earning". e.g there is @dlive now, that allows you to stream live. Have you learned how to use it? You can touch on that aspect of yourself if you haven't or perhaps, try out "photography", then, go post "picture stories" on https://steepshot.io etc.

Yes, learning is the ultimate earning and if you don't let the days emptily slip by, then rewards will never ever be low.

You can also visit https://steemgigs.org and explore it. Even if you are not posting a GIG just yet, why not explore the database of SteemGiggers on there and get to know steemians better, by virtue of what they offer.

Knowing what each steemian has to offer, not only strengthens your conviction in the beauty of steem, steemit and its community but is handy knowledge too and can drive opportunities your way

e.g a potential helper may be need help. Perhaps, he needs help coding and you know a reputable SteemGigger who renders these service and you do an instant recommendation and after a successful experience, this potential helper decides to help you in return etc

It happened to me in the past. At the time, the whole @steemgigs community ran on steemit and in the discord but i got into really knowing these SteemGiggers and could instantly recommend reputable ones. I would help people find these talents and in one such case, @steemgigs got a delegation, from a CEO. It is that simple and for most things that i discuss, there are always testimonies.

If you are struggling to create content for instance, there are SteemGiggers who offer "content creation" as a service.

Some can even end up setting up successful businesses by means of the INTEL gathered from https://steemgigs.org

e.g how about serving the needs of others by yourself, even without expertise. For instance, someone needs a website done for 50 SBD and he is too busy to look for a SteemGigger or discuss with one and you know a reputable one, who offers the service for 40 SBD and you avail of it using your own money, then, deliver it to the person needing code etc

All i am saying is, if you decide to explore steem, you will see many more beauties.

Not every successful steemian is a blogger. Simply going to the drawing board and not quitting on steem because of low rewards, will bring you back out with more foresight.

Who knows, you may even find free GIGs on https://steemgigs.org and begin on the path of building your own dreams.
Yes, type the word "free" into the SteemGigs search.

Don't always put "money" or "lack of it" in the way, for there are bigger things than "money"; one being YOU

Many times, allowing yourself to truly learn, fixes the all the money issues and many times too, it wasn't even money that was missing: it was INTEL

While you spend ages and ages, digging from nation to nation to discover hid treasure; a person with INTEL, spends minutes digging a spot

There is alot of INTEL on https://steemgigs.org already. Are you seeing it? When you start to see it and perceive it as INTEL, is when you can use it.

Even though SteemGigs isn't filled up yet, i have seen so much INTEL being revealed on there and this INTEL pops up daily.

Again, when we create content, we should be our primary audience as striving to impress ourselves constantly involves "evolution" and in reality, is a harder, more testimonial feat than having to impress an audience.

Try tickling yourself and see if it isn't hard.

And speaking of an audience, note that our audience when it comes to our steemit content, also involves the world out there of non-steemians as our content appears also in the search engines and can touch people who surf the internet organically.

Yes, these non-steemians won't vote yet but should we starve them of our awesomeness?
See; "our potential helper can be out there in the search engines and can join steemit to help us, because we were there timelily to help them or answer their questions organically, by means of our simple-looking steemit posts.

By means of steemit, you have the chance with every blog-post, to reshape the entire internet and i tell you, "before steemit, the internet was losing "freshness" (containing mostly recycled information).

This is the time to begin to stand out with your posts. "At times when the rewards are appearing low", is a good time to evolve because every time you put in the effort regardless of potential payout and create valuable content, there was "evolution" involved

There are alot of things to try out with your simple-looking posts, that will excite even you. Many organizations, even the flourishing steem-based organizations started out with simple-looking posts.

@steemgigs began here on steemit by means of steemit posts and continued that way for some 10 months

You simply need to go back to the drawing board during this period especially and look at steemit and its community more intently, then "play" a bit more. Perhaps, try out some fiction in your next post, where you playfully integrate "steem technology" or "decentralization" etc into cooking, skating, electricity, architecture, movies etc and who says you can't create the next revolutionary "use-case" for steem.

In general, there are many content creators on steemit and to stand out and draw in support, you will need to be "playful", sometimes even stunt(y).

You will need to create "freshness" and be consistent about it. People don't tend to give full-time support, without smelling consistency or perceiving a solid definition.

e.g if you seek auto-vote; someone who don't like controversy, will only put you on auto-vote after watching you for long periods and determining that you consistently post non-controversy; and someone who passionately loves steem, will mostly look to auto-vote your posts, after establishing over time that you truly love steem, better or worse.

The entire logic is that simple and do you no why? "It is because even spaceship was built with "humans" in mind and "humans' have behavior"

Again, before hurriedly jumping to "the Nth complexest solution first", understudy and attempt "the first obviousest simplest solution. It is that simple!

e.g If you want to know what is a puppy's mind, before going to outer-space to understudy under an alien, a four year course of DOGmindology, have you ever attempted simply asking:

"Mr Puppy, what's on your mind?" ?

So visit the drawing board TODAY and come back out afresh. Try new things with your content, till you hit that spot. This way, while rewards look low, you will be playfully amassing rewards by evolving in your substance (character) and when rewards go jackpot, you will meet it half-way but i tell you; "it will most likely meet you".

Let me tell you something; "successful people can see!"
Evolve in your substance, establish your character solid and these days, they will meet you half-way.

Start projects with your steemit posts. Start communities with your steemit posts. Look for ways to make "steem" succeed, using your steemit posts. There is @utopian-io now, look for open source projects to contribute to. Even in cases where you posts are not approved, you may not get huge post payout but you may stay present in the minds of these project owners. Yes, you may not get "steem rewards" but these projects can contact you to be part of their organization and that's "rewards" all the same.

If the problem is "steem/SBD price is low", this is nothing to panic about, for "if going to the moon happened", "steem to the moon" is so so so attainable.
All it takes is YOU, the right kind of round table and your consistent desire to make sure "steem goes to the moon"
Again, it is that simple.

If you promote "steem" and price is down, "promote it" still because the people you invite to "steem" should desire to join and stay, based on the sole fact that YOU are here and even based on that alone. If that is not the case yet, simply go back to the drawing board and evolve in your substance

In truth, you are "evolving even in your greatness" when your steemit promotion is beginning to go from; "hey sweetheart, join steemit because you can earn rewards"; to:

hey sweetheart, join Steemit, because i am on there too.

Overall, promoting steemit is our responsibility as we all have stake in steem and moreso, because it can also be media to empower people.

Use the "well of information" generated daily on steemit, within your steemit posts. You can create new content from your curation efforts and still stand out, if you truly went on a learning spree

Keep your dreams alive in dream-bits using your steemit posts and play them out into fruition. Wake up all the "under-the-bed-dreams" as you now have the chance to do so, by means of your simple-looking steemit post.

Now that "steem price" appear low, do these things. It is playful; it is fun; you will obliviously grow.

Growth is rewards.

Your Boy Terry
